Recently, the launching ceremony of the training program for young management talents of petrochemical ships, which is jointly organized by Shandong Shipping under Shandong Marine Group Ltd. and Shanghai Maritime University, was successfully held.
The training project for young management talents of petrochemical ships takes young crew members and shore-based employees as the training targets, and through three to five years of systematic training, a reserve echelon of shore-based management talents and a team of senior crew members of petrochemical ships are established. The project adopts the modes of centralized teaching, factory practice, ship-shore rotation and overseas study, and will train students in cultural integration, basic skills, professionalism, professional ability and management skills in order to achieve the training objectives. At present, the first batch of 16 marine students have completed the operation training of petrochemical ships in Shanghai Maritime University and obtained certificates, and ended their ten-day practice in the shipyard. The next step is to organize business training, and it is expected that they will board the ship in batches at the end of August. In the future, Shandong Shipping will send fresh graduates and employees of marine specialty into the training program every year, so as to enrich the talent team of petrochemical ships, help enhance the competitive advantage of talents in the field of ocean transportation of Shandong Shipping, and help solve the shortage of senior management talents in the field of petrochemical transportation in China.
